Just as Jesus came not to be served but to serve, our conviction is that Christians are drawn by God’s love to serve others just like Christ serves us. We serve our neighbours in a variety of ways throughout the year:

We partner with Lift Church, located on the McMaster University Campus. to provide people in the community a free hot meal and a safe place to meet every second week, rain or shine! There is no agenda, just a time to share a meal together and hang out as a community. Everyone is welcome to join us for these free community meals.

Every winter, the Hamilton Out of the Cold hot meal program runs out of our Fellowship Hall. Everyone who comes is provided a freshly made hot meal, and invited to fellowship with one another. The program generally runs from the first Friday in November to the Last Friday of March each year. See our calendar or HOOTC’s website for up-to-date days and times.

Every Christmas and Easter season, our church participates in a Christmas Food Hamper program with other area churches and ministries (by referral only). We also collect food and hygiene items for the Mission Services food bank throughout the year, particularly during times when their shelves begin to empty.

We’re always looking for ways we can share the gospel with our neighbours in deed and word. Examples of past events have been clothing drives, neighbourhood garbage cleanup days, charity yard sales, a hot lunch program, holiday meals, and much more. Are you passionate about and have ideas for ways we can serve our neighbours as Christ served us? Speak to Pastor Seán!

But we’re not interested in reinventing the wheel, so here is a list of some of the local agencies and ministries our church supports through the use of our members offerings, time, and energy that you could also serve with: Micah House, Mission Services Hamilton, Hamilton Out of the Cold, GOHOP, The Bridge.
